Written assignments and presentations will be assessed on the quality of your writing and/or presentation as well as your interpretation and understanding of course content. Each assignment will be graded on a 100 point scale:
Final grades will be based on the overall average of all assignments and will be assigned using +/- grades per university policy.
MODULES
You will complete 5 online modules. Each module is designed to assist you in developing your knowledge and skills in using technology to improve your teaching. In each module, you will complete various activities including, but not limited to: reading an article, responding to questions on a discussion board, taking a quiz over a reading, critiquing instructional resources, watching a video, creating a video, creating a website, or writing a reflection. Every module will have a unique set of activities to complete. Some modules will take longer than others to complete but each is important. Each module will include an information sheet that provides additional details about what you will need to do in order to successfully complete the module.
WEBSITE
Completing all module assignments will result in the development of a website that reflects the values of educators who demonstrate effective professional practice, as detailed in the The International Society for Technology in Education’s (ISTE) National Educational Technology Standards (NETS•T) & Performance Indicators for Teachers. Your final course project will be this webpage and the final reflection on the course as a whole. More detail will be given later in the semester.
