Module 5 - Getting Organized Online
Overview
It is now mid-July and it is a few weeks before the beginning of a new school year (or semester). Some of you are in the process of preparing for the day-to-day operation of your classroom (at least you will be once you are finished with this course). Based on your experiences in this amazing, awesome, life-changing EDET 620 course, you have decided that you want to use online tools to help you become a better teacher. But which tools will you use and for what purpose? Do you want to use something that can do a lot of different things, or do you want to use many tools in which each tool is very good at doing one particular thing? Does your school division force you to use certain tools or do you have some flexibility?
In this assignment I want you to identify online technological tools that would be helpful in answering each of the following questions:
- How do you plan to organize your lesson plans, activities, and other teaching resources?
- How do you plan to communicate with parents?
- How do you plan to manage your time?
- How do you plan to work collaboratively with colleagues?
- What websites will you use to locate quality teaching resources?
Along with the tools we have investigated in previous module, here are some tools that you should examine to see if they would be helpful.
